Exploring wildlife response scenarios and preparedness in the Asia Pacific region
Join OSRL and the Wildlife Preparedness & Response Community of Practice (CoP) for an interactive virtual exercise exploring wildlife response scenarios, challenges, and preparedness priorities across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
The Wildlife Community of Practice is a global network of industry representatives, regulators, responders, wildlife specialists and preparedness professionals who share knowledge and experience to strengthen wildlife response preparedness in line with global good practice.
Using practical scenarios from the APAC region, live audience polling, group interaction and an expert panel discussion, this session will explore preparedness challenges, tiered response capability and the role of international wildlife response resources. Participants will examine how local preparedness, regional cooperation and international support arrangements work together to support effective wildlife response during an oil spill incident.
The session will highlight lessons learned and provide practical insights to help organisations strengthen their preparedness for oiled wildlife incidents before they occur.
