Perfect for those relatively inexperienced in oil spill response, this course is suitable for those who will operate in tactical, site safety or environmental support positions within an Incident Management Team (IMT) or Emergency Response Team, particularly in coastal and port environments This course is ideal for On-Scene Commanders and the following personnel:

• Those required to operate within an IMT or Emergency Response Team, including site safety positions
• Operational staff responsible for setting strategic and tactical priorities and those required to conduct response tactics
• Planning staff with an environmental remit

Through a combination of case studies, interactive discussions, and two practical deployment exercises — one shoreline and one offshore — you will develop the knowledge and confidence to manage tactical spill response operations in diverse environments.

You will gain a deeper understanding of:

• The principles of oil spill response, including the fate and behaviour of oil in marine and shoreline environments

• Health and safety protocols to safeguard responders during shoreline and offshore operations
